7th Heilongjiang Provincial Tourism Development Conference

On 2 July 2025, the UN Tourism Regional Office for the Middle East participated in the 7th Heilongjiang Provincial Tourism Development Conference, held in Fuyuan City, China’s easternmost city.

Mr. Samer Al-Kharashi, Director of the UN Tourism Regional Office for the Middle East, attended the opening ceremony as a distinguished guest, representing the Regional Office.

The conference provided a valuable opportunity to reconnect with Ms. HE Jing, Director General of the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and to reaffirm the shared commitment to advancing tourism development goals. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in winter tourism, institutional capacity building, and joint initiatives between Heilongjiang, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
