Introduction to scholarships

UN Tourism, in collaboration with Basque Culinary Center, is offering four scholarships for the full online course in Gastronomy Tourism Experience Design: Two scholarships will be for the course in English and the other two scholarships will be for the course in Spanish. The goal of these scholarships is to promote the development of leaders in gastronomy tourism who are devoted to sustainable and responsible tourism practices.

Information About the Online Course in Gastronomy Tourism Experience Design

Course objectives:

This course provides participants with specialized skills to design and oversee meaningful gastronomy tourism experiences, emphasizing sustainability and cultural preservation. It examines the role of gastronomy in travel and offers digital tools for promoting tourism, including techniques for creating memorable culinary events.

Participants will gain an understanding of industry trends and sustainable tourism principles, empowering them to make a positive impact on gastronomic tourism within their regions.

Program details:

  • Professional orientation course 100% online format
  • Dates: October 28, 2025 - March 19, 2026
  • Format: 100% online, weekly live classes in English Course on every Thursday from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm (CEST)
  • Language: English version
  • Certification: Issued by Basque Culinary Center’s Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences

Four scholarships are available, covering full access to the Online Course in Gastronomy Tourism Experience Design.

These scholarships aim to support the development of leaders in gastronomic tourism who are committed to promoting responsible, sustainable tourism in alignment with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
